Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Faun Flora began her songwriting career as a closeted teen mulling over her piano in her high school years. Her style eventually blended into soul-freeing and dream-chasing atmospheres that captures her listeners’ internal truth. “In A Daze, By My Lonesome” (2020), is Faun Flora's debut EP, with the celebrated release at the world-renowned Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix. The 5-track EP introduced a new era of livelier rhythms and more candid subjects. The EP’s most popular hit, “Drive”, a bursting love story, achieved significant attention and scored spots on national and local radio stations, including Alt AZ 93.3's Homegrown with Mo, KWSS 93.9, and WHPC 90.3.
Imagery and mood have always been the forefront of what Faun Flora’s music embodies. Her 2021 single, “See You At The Funeral”, offers throat-clutching thought of life and death while revealing the beauty of it all through the art of the unspoken. Akin to dreamy voices like Alvvays and Mazzy Star, her lyrics explore all aspects and depths of the human experience over ethereal synths, mountainous drums, and grooving bass lines.
Faun Flora is ramping up their footprint with an upcoming series of new singles that permeate the dream pop space with a synth-heavy full-band sound and painfully relatable story-telling. Inspired by artists such as Foster the People and Lights, Faun's upcoming singles promise a renewed sound with honest, unfiltered themes and dynamic arrangements.
